600W Pool Light Transformer: Choosing the Right Transformer

1. Calculate the total wattage of your light fixtures in your plan.
2. Choose the transformer that is large enough to support the total wattage you need.
3. The transformer wattage load (total watts needed for your fixtures) should be within 80% of the rated capacity of the transformer.

For example, if you have 5 pack 13W landscape lights, the total wattage is 65W. Then, you can choose a transformer higher than 81W (= 65W / 0.8).

The outdoor landscape lighting transformer has wiring terminals and labels inside, making wiring easier; only some basic wiring is required. 10 knockouts (φ1.06'') are available for you to thread your wire in.
