The Metalux Electronic Undercabinet Series offers an efficient task lighting solution suitable for any decor. Available in a slim profile with T8 lamps, this series not only provides high-quality illumination but also an excellent value. The post-painted housings, 100% acrylic non-yellowing lenses, and color-corrected lamps ensure a durable and visually appealing fixture.
The undercabinet fixture can be used in a variety of applications, such as kitchens, offices, study areas, displays, computer stations, and any other setting where a discreet light source is needed. It is important to note that certain airborne contaminants may diminish the integrity of the acrylic components.
Constructed with a nominal 1-3/4" deep, heavy-gauge cold-rolled steel housing, the fixture features rounded corners and no exposed fasteners. The keyhole mounting slots located on the top of the housing facilitate easy installation, and the KO's allow for continuous row mounting. An opaque front option is also available.
The electrical components of the fixture are UL/CUL listed and suitable for damp locations. The ballasts are CBM/ETL Class "P" and are securely mounted with bolts. The pressure-lock lampholders ensure a reliable connection.
The finish of the fixture is achieved through a multi-stage process, including a painted-after-fabrication technique. The electrostatically applied baked white polyester powder enamel finish provides a durable and uniform appearance, while the iron phosphate coating with rust inhibitor adds an additional layer of protection.
The frame and shielding of the fixture are composed of 100% virgin acrylic, featuring a linear ribbed diffuser with a DR additive. The diffuser is non-yellowing and light-stabilized, ensuring excellent light transmission. It can be easily removed for maintenance.
The Metalux Electronic Undercabinet Series offers a range of convenient features, including a rocker switch (included) that can be field-installed for the UC series. All fixtures are shipped as direct-wired, simplifying the installation process and enabling easy re-lamping and maintenance.
